I recently had the opportunity to capture an amazing couple, Natalie and Alex. They have been together for a long time, and their bond is truly unique. For their shoot, I chose Old City in the heart of Philadelphia, a location that came to life perfectly with their choice of clothing. Despite not being a meticulously planned session like many of my shoots, I was blown away when we first met at the location. In my head, I thought, "Oh my God, this is going to be great!"
I began by scouting the location to get all my framing right while they were getting ready. Since I had never seen the location physically before, I wanted to ensure everything was perfect. I started by having a conversation with the couple to give them direction on what we were doing and how I wanted them to pose. This helped build their confidence, and seeing how happy they were together, I made sure to strengthen their connection through my artistic style of photography.
This session was initially supposed to last two hours, but with over a decade of experience, I was able to get everything done in one hour. We even had time to create an amazing video for them. I used the Canon 5D Mark II for the photos and the DJI Osmo Pocket 3 for the video. I thoroughly enjoyed this session and hope to create more beautiful memories for other couples in the future.
